Sports Nutrition
Building and maintaining peak athletic performance is more than just training, practice, and “keeping in shape.” The diet of an athlete or someone who exercises regularly needs to be different from the food intake of someone who is inactive. Your body needs support in the form of what we call sports nutrition, hydration, and rest in order to keep performing and responding at top levels.
Not all nutrition plans are the same. Every athlete is different and therefore needs a program geared specifically to their individual needs. The nutrition plan that you should follow will depend on your age, sex, activity level, and overall goal. A performance-based nutrition plan gives you the right nutrients to be energized, recover quicker, and optimize performance. A poor nutrition approach leaves you feeling sluggish, slows down recovery, and negatively affects your performance in competition. FAST has a highly trained sports dietitian on its team to help athletes excel and reach their full potential.
